I began working with moms and babies in an intimate setting 6 years ago, as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor. As I have been working with these families over the past few years and attending conferences, I became frustrated at the lack of support that is provided to moms in the postpartum season. I began to look for a solution to this concern of mine and happened upon the DONA website. There I found the answer to my frustrations and I attended a training as soon as I could.

In March of 2011 I began working full-time as a Postpartum Doula. It has been a very exciting time as I learn new things about having my own business and reach out to new families all over Central IL. My family is enjoying having mom as a more present person in their lives:) and we are totally digging the flexible schedule this job allows us.

I am amazed by all I learn from the people I work  with. I am looking forward to meeting new clients and local resources to refer them to. Contact me anytime!
